Child Safety Standards

Joviel is an adults-only community. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. These standards describe how we prevent it, how we detect it, and what we do when we find it.
1. Adults only — 18+
Joviel is exclusively for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account (see our Terms of Service). We enforce this at sign-up (in the app and on our servers), our apps will carry adult age ratings on the App Store and Google Play, and we honor the age signals those platforms provide (such as Apple's Declared Age Range and Google Play's age signals): if a platform indicates a user is a minor, they cannot use Joviel.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE
We prohibit any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexualized depictions of minors (real, drawn, or AI-generated), and any attempt to arrange contact with a minor. This applies everywhere on the Service and to conduct connected to it.
3. How we keep minors out and CSAE off Joviel
- Age gate. Every account must state an adult date of birth; under-18 sign-ups are rejected.
- Verification and review. Members go through our verification steps (such as the faith interview), new accounts start with limited reach, and we apply automated checks and human review to detect fake or unsafe accounts.
- Photo screening. Profile photos are screened automatically before being shown to other members, including detection of apparent minors.
4. Reporting
Every member can report or block any profile or conversation directly in the app. Reports involving a possible minor or CSAE are treated with the highest priority and reviewed by a person. You can also reach our designated child-safety contact at hello@joviel.one.
5. What happens when we find it
- Immediate removal of the content and the account involved.
- Reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant law enforcement, as required by law, including preserving evidence for those reports.
- Cooperation with lawful requests from authorities.
6. Compliance
These standards implement, among others, Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's app-review requirements for user-generated content, and they are part of our Terms of Service. See also our Dating Safety notice and Privacy Policy.
